You didn’t really think

I’d tell you my address did you?

 Monday 8th September

Dear Mr. Barnett,

    Congratulations on your election results!

I am a ten year old student at Scotch College Junior school.

I am doing a big project on smoking statistics.

I have always wondered why politicians do not ban smoking. If you are elected as Premier, would you consider banning smoking?

Banning smoking would save a lot of peoples’ lives and also would save money spent in the Health Department on smoking illnesses. I can understand that maybe people worry about losing votes from people who smoke but can’t understand why this would be as important as saving peoples’ lives. Non-smokers would be more likely to vote for a politician who bans smoking.

It would be really great to hear your comments on this letter. I know you are busy at the moment but I would appreciate your opinion. I can be contacted at the above address or in Year 5T at Scotch College Junior school.

Thankyou for reading this letter,

Yours sincerely,

Hamish de la Hunty.

I made this banner that you can put onto your no smoking sites. Just copy and paste it onto a new post.

Banning smoking completely will be very bad for the politicians elections. There will be less voters for Kevin Rudd if he bans smoking completely and will probably lose the next election if he bans smoking altogether. If you think otherwise please comment below.

I thought you guys should know the names of the cigarette companies, so here they are:

Marlboro

Laramie

Laramie cigarette tubes package

Camel

Winfield

Chesterfield was a cigarette company but it is really old now so I didn’t put a picture on.

if you can think of any other cigarette companies, please comment saying so.
